Every week, the club’s committee meets to discuss what has been going on at the club, and how to improve things. And every week, after that meeting, an update is posted, sharing the latest news with all of the club’s members, keeping them appraised of developments and in-the-loop regarding upcoming events!
Without further ado, let us launch into what’s new this week!
Welcome to new members
We have noticed a number of newer faces at the club and we’d like everyone to extend their warmest welcomes to these new people! We hope you’ve been having fun so far! If you want to share any feedback, we’d love to hear it – you can message the club’s Facebook page or email us at email@example.com!
Final Fantasy draft
This is the final call for our Final Fantasy TCG draft. It will be next week, on Wednesday the 24th. There will be a sign-up available on Monday and Wednesday, there are eight spaces available and without eight players the event will not be going forward.
Board Games Night
As you may have seen in our earlier post this week, we are planning a monthly Board Game Night! This month, it will be on the 31st of May and will feature a number of board games for people to take part in and enjoy. We would like to encourage people to take a break from their usual scheduled games and try something different and interact with different people. We think it will be a whole lot of fun and we hope you think so too!
We have done a big tidy up of the cupboards and the shelves and we’re still working on improving the quality of our storage, but this is a group effort. If you use something at the club, please make sure it’s put back somewhere tidy.
We’re planning on getting some more of the big plastic boxes to help organise things, so that should help as well.
Flyer of upcoming events
If you were at the club on Wednesday then the chances are good that I handed you out a flyer of the upcoming events at the club! I will be handing them out to people who may have missed them on Monday as well. Taking part in our events is a great opportunity to try something new, learn new games, meet new people and make the most out of your membership of the club.
We need to update the register of members at the club, and so Mathew Shaw will be going around as of next week collecting everyone’s personal and emergency contact details. It is a short form with a few questions on it that we need to keep for various reasons, so it doesn’t take a lot of time to sort out, and we appreciate everyone’s patience with this!
